Owen Collins Major: Environmental Studies Owen is an Eagle Scout who grew up experiencing and earning an appreciation since he was young. He enjoys learning new skills that help the natural environment while continuing to spend time admiring nature. Owen is looking to follow a career in transportation and resilience after his undergraduate degree. |
Jackson Dailey Major: Environmental science Jackson is a fourth year Environmental Science student. He completed a hydrology monitoring internship with the City of Eugene and Friends of Buford Park where he monitored the flood plains of Buford Park. He hopes to pair his technical skills and business background to work as an environmental consultant. |
Betsy Finn Major: Environmental science Betsy is a third year undergraduate student from outside Philadelphia. She has loved the outdoors since she was young. Previously, she has worked as a Native Plant Nursery intern for the City of Eugene at Alton Baker Park where she learned about local native plants and ecological restoration. |
Ben King Majors: Environmental Studies and Philosophy Ben is third year undergraduate student who grew up in Reno, Nevada and has spent much of his life considering the different ways in which people and society relate to the natural world. After completing his time at UO, Ben intends to spend time working in and around Lake Tahoe while he considers the possibility of attending graduate school. |
Haley Nicholson Major: ENvironmental STudies Haley is a third year undergraduate student from Folsom, California. Haley has always loved spending time outdoors and feels blessed to have the opportunity to spend more time in Hendricks Park whilst also giving back to the community. Haley aspires to pursue a career in environmental law, where she can use her knowledge learned from this project and her degree to protect the environment. |
Sky Ramirez-Doble Majors: Environmental science and Biology Sky is a McNair and Scientific Literacy Program scholar who has focused his undergraduate studies on evolution and ecology. Currently, Sky is writing an honors thesis on the effects of tropical agriculture on microbial communities in the UO Institute of Evolution and Ecology. After graduation Sky plans on pursuing research and, eventually, a Doctorate of Philosophy in Ecology. |
Nick Richardson Major: Environmental Science Nick is a senior finishing up his undergraduate degree in environmental science. He has always been fascinated by the beauty of nature, and aims to give back to his community by pursuing a career in restoration management. Other than spending his time walking around forests he likes to go on evening bike rides on the river bike path or spending wholesome time with his friends. |
Haley Santos Major: ENvironmental Science Haley is an undergraduate student finishing her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, minoring in Geology. She has always loved the outdoors, spending her winters skiing and summers rafting. After graduating she hopes to pursue a career in water treatment or volcanic monitoring. Haley spends her spare time working out, taking care of foster kittens and hiking local trails. |
Kiana Seto Major: Environmental studies Kiana grew up in Sacramento, California and is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies. She spent most of her childhood outside riding horses and hiking with her family and developed an appreciation for the environment at a young age. He has a significant interest in habitat restoration and conservation, particularly in riparian areas. With the skills and methods gained from ELP Charlie hopes to apply them to a future career in habitat restoration/conservation.
